Oh dear!! While sitting at a roundabout, my innocent Dolomite was taken up the rear by a Ford Transit, jolting us down the road. The impact felt quite significant, when it happened as it really gave us one heck of a jolt! Naturally the driver was Lithuanian and couldnt speak any English so the Police were called. Details now swapped, I am left with details of insurance companies that have all gone home for the weekend!

So the damage!
Hi,
I've just acquired a 1978 dolomite 1500HL which has been stood in a garage since 1997. The previous owners (my parents) haven't taxed it since then, and apparently didn't give a SORN notice at the time. I need to re-register the vehicle in my name, but not sure if i'll be dropping anyone in it if I do it myself, or whether my parents need to contact the DVLA. Does anyone have any experience of this situation? Should I just reregister and declare it off road anyway?

Thanks in...

Whilst looking for an answer to Aluns 1500HL questions I stumbled across the production numbers for the Sprint. I think this answers those few who question weather the first 2000 were all Mimosa:

1973 - 5446
1974 - 4232
1975 - 3589
1976 - 4035
1977 - 2554
1978 - 1352
1979 - 1240
1980 - 493

TOTAL 22941

As you can see, by far the largest number were produced during the 6 months of availibility in 1973.
