ive been away for a while and now im back - only im not back in leicester anymore. Ive had to move in with my parents (who unfortunately think she's not worth the hassle and that I should sell her - something I dont want to but might have to consider) in Wednesbury, West Midlands.) The only thing is now my beloved Dolly is still in my friends garage in Leics and I can't transport her till shes passed her MOT.

Trouble is, I can't budge the input shaft.
Have made up my own slide hammer, but pulling and sliding and belting it with a lump hammer still won't move the shaft.
What am I doing wrong?
At this rate it would be quicker annd easier to rebuild my A40 ...

I have recently found myself really wanting a triumph dolomite S.E and i have found one listed on the for sale area of this site. Unfortunately it has been standing for some time. It has been garaged and the seller reports little rust. When i go and view it what should i be looking out for in a car of this type and this age.

hiya all

I'm after a bit of advice, ive seen a dolomite 1850 with a sprint engine in it for sale, love the look of the car and really want it, but there is oil leaking from the front crankshaft oil seal, is this a big job?
ive phoned 2 triumph places and 1 says its an engine out job costing hundreds, the other said it was very easy and should be no more than 50 which one is right?
