			<description><![CDATA[ We may have covered this recently, but I cannot find a post on it, so here goes!<br><br>Having inspected my stub axles, they are shot, in that they have worn heavily owing to bearing 'issues'. 			<description><![CDATA[ Over the Winter my Dolly Sprint, OMK 172R, is going to get a few minor upgrades. I want to stiffen the ride a bit. <br><br>Does anyone know which springs are best, the heavy duty springs which keep the ride height the same, or the uprated springs, which lower the height about an inch.<br><br>I will keep the standards struts and shocks and not fit Spax.<br>Poly bushes are also planned.<br><br>Cheers,<br>Richard Truett ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Help please....following on from the tie bar bushes thread ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I had a look at the bushes on my daily driver (well daily until yesterday anyway!). I know you can't always tell from a visual inspection, but they look ok. I did notice though that the rear of the car seems to sit about 1-1.5 inches lower on one side than the other.<br><br>Anyone think of a reason for this?<br><br>The car is on level ground, and I have observed this when parked in more than one place.<br><br>I wondered if it could be different springs, but it seems strange. 			<description><![CDATA[ I was asked to drive a 1500SE this evening as it was not handling very well.<br><br>When I investiged I found that the rear tie bar bushes were shot. It is certainly an experience driving a dolomite with shot rear tie rod bushes.<br><br>It took me a while to find out which way round the new bushes should be fitted but I did in the end find a note that points out that there was a correction to official repair manual issued. They should be fitted plain faces of both bushes should be toward the... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ looking for more tips here folks, cant get o/s gaitor to breathe, tempted to pin-hole the thing but thats the last resort...<br><br>it kind of goes all stretched n yukky on left lock, or sort of puffs up like a deformed balloon on right lock...<br><br>tried squidging air out, resulting in yukky, and tried it with a bit of air resulting in balloon.<br><br>had grease nipple off to act as a breather, sort of worked, then tried the bolt thing at the bottom of the column, same effect as grease... ]]></description>

The symptoms are as follows:<br>-Stiffness while at slow speeds and under cornering<br>-Vagueness of steering (not very precise)<br>-It feels a bit a bit &quot;notchey&quot;. I have to turn heavily to begin the turn but then it feels quite loose on the exit of turns.<br><br>The following may help with the diagnosis.<br>-The shocks and bushes front and back need replacing, but its the ones... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ for the fwd 1300s.<br>one of mine split as it was going into the mot... arrrghhh , so a paniced called to steve W reveals that they are akin to rocking horse poo but our friends at rimmers do have them for 185+ vat each (gulp) so another few calls later turns up some QH units for less than 50 a pair. im assurred that they are metalastic (the good type)and will be on the car tomorrow. if any fwd owners are intrested i will keep you updated on the quality as QH only have 10 left and no plans to... ]]></description>
