Ok I go away to University on the Saturday 16th, to Oxford Brookes.
So I won't be attending. Unless! I can't imagine Sunday will be an action packed day for me so I could go. But it would require a Dolomite'r coming from this way Anyone Lets have the guess the part competition again, I would get 100% this time |

Adam
Try giving Matt the Oxfordshire area rep a call (phone number in Dolly Mixture), he may be able to put the word around and find a lift for you.... |

I've been a bit undecided on this because of Snowdrop's fuel problems (documented elsewhere & in the forthcoming DM) but if the problems are over then I could still be up for this one. Snowdrop's last trip "down south" wasn't without problems so I may be a bit loath to take her.
Edit: I've remembered that her MoT runs out just before this event so she might not be even road legal. We shall see... Toledo Man

If the weather looks half decent me & Mrs Weevil will be camping there. If not it'll be another awful-o'clock start.
Tin 1978 Dolomite Sprint Blue, a bit tetley. - Current daily drive.
1972 Spitfire IV No name, in bits. 1968 GT6 II Little blue, nice! 1973 Dolomite Sprint VA41, seriously tetley. 1980 Dolomite 1500HL Orange, really quite tidy. |

Re: camping | ||

I'll be coming down one way or another. Hopefully, Snowdrop will be ready to roll with a fresh MoT, second choice will be Becky (at least she's a Triumph!) or dare I say it my mate's Eurobox estate (1996 Renault Laguna 2.0 RT estate) which would be pretty useful for shifting lots of Dolly parts, boxes of DM and fellow TDC members who don't have transport.
See ya there! Toledo Man

Trying like mad to get the latest engine into the Sprint and up and running. A friend came round while I was swearing at the manifold to downpipe and proceeded to do it for me while I did carbs, oil filter etc on the other side of the engine. Just need to get the rad in and plumb up the cooling system, set the timing, blah blah. Might make it for Sunday.
Otherwise I'll be in the mustard mongrel. David |
